I picked up some terra cotta pots at a rummage sale the other day, just prettied them up and now trying to decide what to plant in them. I'd like to begin working with herbs and thought these could serve as an indoor herb garden. Please give me an idea of seven or more essential herbs to have on hand. The Full Moon Esbat
Full Moon Esbats are important to the Witch. For one thing, the Moon is at her peak, and that alone is cause for celebration, since her growth in the sky is a natural phenomenon. But for the Witch, it goes much deeper than that. Because this fullness signifies the pregnancy of Moon coming to term - and there's nothing as powerful as containing a seperate life within-Her magickal energies are more potent than at any other time of the month. This means that any request-no matter how difficult-has a better chance of being granted during this time. So the Witch not only celebrates the fullness of the Moon, but harvests that energy for magickal purposes.
Each Full Moon Esbat centers around formal circle-casting. And though the Charge of the Goddess is always recited, the Charge of the God is omitted. This is, in no way, a slight against the God. Since the Moon is ruled by the Goddess and it's Her energy that we celebrate at this time, the God simply steps back to let Her shine.

Spirit Guides are entities - physical and non-physical - who have chosen to aid others on the path to spiritual enlightenment as we are about to ascend to higher light - the evolution of consciousness - our natural state of being.
You may sometimes see a spark of light before you that blinks in and out for just a second. That is a soul spark. That is you.
You are frequency. Spirit guides are higher frequency. It's like turning on a television or radio - one need only adjust the station to the matching frequency to connect.
Connection is usually telepathic unless your spirit guide uses some form of telekinesis to move objects or manifest objects to reinforce their connection with you.
There are many ways to communicate with spirit guides. We label this channeling.

Modern magicla herbalists use wood aloes as a strengthening herb, by adding a small amount to other mixtures to intensify their powers.

Magical Uses: Alum has been worn in Egypt as a protective amulet against evil. On the north coast of Africa, alum is also used for this purpose. A piece of alum is placed in the home to guard it, and small amounts of this mineral are sewn into or placed in children's hats to protect them as well.
